Covid-19 Update


As announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday, 24 May 2020, Level 3 Lockdown commenced on Monday, 01 June 2020, with more sectors and businesses allowed to trade again.

As we welcome more of you back to our shopping centre, we wish to remind you that our stringent safety and hygiene measures remain in place to ensure the health and safety of all who visit us. Throughout the mall/centre, we have positioned sanitising stations, signage to ensure adherence of physical distancing is maintained and the wearing of face mask at all times by all those who are in the shopping centre. We appreciate your cooperation and support of these measures during this time.


Monday to Thursday: 9am to 6pm
Friday: 9am to 7pm
Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Sunday and Public holiday: 9am to 3pm

Pick n Pay and Fast food stores may trade until 8pm

Please note: Some tenants may trade outside the stipulated hours, we suggest you contact the store directly for these details.


Most of your favourite brands are trading again at Liberty Promenade with strict health protocols in place. Certain high-risk economic activities, however, remain prohibited, including personal care services such as hairdressing and beauty services, cinemas and theatres. Restaurants and bars, except for the delivery or collection of food, remain closed. The sale of tobacco products is prohibited.

At Liberty Promenade, your well-being remains our top priority. During these extraordinary times, as we unite in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19), these are the precautionary measures we have implemented to ensure the overall safety of customers, tenants and staff:

  • Close and transparent communication with all tenants and staff.
  • Increased cleaning protocol, with additional focus on handrails and all other commonly used equipment.
  • Ongoing deep-cleaning of the mall, known as fogging, to ensure all common areas are thoroughly sanitised.
  • Increased refilling of soap dispensers in all bathroom facilities.
  • We assure our valued customers, tenants and staff that we are committed to their wellbeing and are monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak very carefully, and we, as a mall, will continue to monitor and act in the best interest of all concerned.
